But she did learn quickly, and is starting to understand that this is about landing that one important blow in those openings, not to say that toughness doesn't mean anything, because without it she would of been easily KOed.
The main character does suck, she only knows one technique and even with that she passed out after using it. That's pretty scary when you think she's gotten even more training and motivation to specifically target the gym for challenges, but a good place for MC to be because of that. The rival was still new to the scene and managed to beat everyone but got stopped at a tough competitor. The Aura punch is magically enhanced punches so they hit harder, she can use them absolutely, but using them at the right time and place is what matters, that's what Vivio shows. She's hardy but against someone with martial arts training there is not much she can do, you'll see her take a beating a lot in the show (Like the fight in the alley) she's pretty good at taking it, but that matters less in a ring fight where you need to just knock someone down. No guns exist in this place, that was the equivalent of a taster. If they are concerned about if it's inconsistent then that's fine :) Also I hope that these are actual questions because it does feel like your friend just doesn't like the show outright, which is fine, but if their mind is already made up I doubt they want actual answers. It's only 12 episodes long so they will not expand on every fight, but the important ones are there. Just also might help to mention that this is a magically enhanced fighting show. Episode 8 is an 11/10 for me, but he'll probably hate the MC too much to make it that far. Without spoiling the other shows and approaching this from a Vivid Strike only perspective, is there anything to say about these gripes? If this is your first entry, a lot of them seem pretty fair. The age brackets (under-15) make Rinne seem even weaker overall.
I told him she'd just hit worse, but that went back to #1. The MC doesn't use any grapples on the girls even though she's a street fighter. We already know the MC's gonna beat Rinne, because Rinne lost to Vivio, and the loser MC just beat this seasoned-vet Vivio after learning one new punch. Vivio should've been flooring the MC the whole time. The MC sucks so hard but is able to ring-out Vivio with one punch, even if it's the sacred style learned from Einhard.
Which makes her much less intimidating cause someone already beat her. Her rival is the big bad but already lost to one of these girls (Vivio). She even had the aura punches before this. She's cocky as hell but suddenly can't do anything at all, which is annoying. The MC can dodge bullets and has years of practical street-fighting experience, but gets a montage beat-down against younger gym girls. Of course, it ain't that serious-if there's no answer, there's no point in arguing for the sake of it. How would you counter these? I'm trying to get a friend into it, and he has the following nitpicks.
